This week’s Good News from the Resistance: Thursday’s healthcare vote was fuel for the Resistance. Congress is on recess, but Town Halls are becoming as rare as a Republican with a backbone. What’s a Resister to do? Thousands are planning  “Die-Ins” outside of Congressional district offices. Camera-ready, community-building, and downright fun. 45-care passed the House. What now? First of all, don’t panic. Obamacare remains the law of the land. And the bill has 4 more Bigly, difficult steps to pass before it becomes law. What can we do to save our healthcare? Be informed. Hold your Congressperson accountable. Make calls.  And as for those Congressional “visual learners” who confessed they hadn’t actually read the bill they voted for? Show them how you feel at a Die-In. Here’s how:

WEFLIPPING SEATS IN THE HEARTLAND

The importance of Democrats winning Red State “down ballot” races cannot be stressed strongly enough. Resisters in Lincoln, Nebraska got this message, and this week showed just how fed up they are with Republican majorities in their cities and state, by flipping their City Council Blue. How’d it happen? Democratic party chair Jane Kleeb had an explanation: “The resistance proved we march and we vote.”

WE CNN, ABC, CBS, and NBC FOR REFUSING TO AIR 45’s “FAKE NEWS” AD

45 has never stopped campaigning. Now, he’s produced an ad that accuses the mainstream media of reporting “fake news.” The networks have refused to air it, for one simple reason: the news they report is true. And when it comes to reporting on 45, you couldn’t make this s**t up.

Georgia’s GOP does not like the fact that Jon Ossoff has a running chance of flipping Gingrich’s old Georgia seat Blue in next month’s special election. In addition to spending a gazillion dollars on the race, they attempted another tried-and-true GOP tactic: keeping people from voting. This week a federal judge ordered Georgia to reopen voter registration ahead of the election.
